The steering wheel is used to turn the wheels of the steering axle into the desired position and thus steer the vehicle in the appropriate direction. Steering systems consist of numerous components. These must interact precisely to ensure precise and safe steering. For this reason, extensive test bench trials are carried out during development. Hydraulic test benches

On the one hand, we specialize in the project planning, design, manufacture and commissioning of complete customer-specific test benches. On the other hand, we offer motors specially developed for test bench technology. These are extraordinarily precise and exhibit a very high uniformity in concentricity, especially in the range of low speeds. In addition to motors specially developed for this area of application, there is also a wide range of modified motors.
For example, our motors are used in vibration tests for motorcycle forks, testing the adjustment of wing flaps or in steering axle test stands.
The RMHP high-precision motor is used, for example, in a plastomer test rig where the hot deformation of metallic materials is analyzed under torsion, tension or compression at high temperatures. The aim of the tests is to optimize the tested metal alloys. In these materials tests, the clamped specimen is first heated via an induction coil and then subjected to the desired torque after reaching the target temperature. In the torsion test, for example, the specimen is twisted by 30 revolutions at a speed of up to 900 min/1. The load is applied abruptly via a high-response valve with an opening time of 6 milliseconds at a flow rate of 63 liters/minute and must be as constant as possible. The hydraulic motor proves its worth here thanks to the high constancy of the drive speed with the possibility of its very fast, uniform change with abrupt reversal of the direction of rotation.
